Demo_v002 is Out!
Well it's here, the month 2 demo. I managed to get around to most of what I wanted. Although some of it is a little hacky and I'm not happy with the back end. But from a player POV it's good to go. I hope you enjoy the few new mechanics I added along with the new routes and creatures. And as always, if you run into any issues, have suggestions, or just wanna gush - please comment!
With any luck, I'll start a new job in the coming week or so but I have no plans to slow down development. However, I might not upload another demo for a few months. I still need to list out all my priorities, but I'll try to wing it below.
UI Art, Battle Animations, NPC Builder for custom NPC behavior, Trainer Builder, Cust Scenes, Evolution, Improved Battle Log for better readability, more Skills, and of course, more Creatures (I have 6 in the demo out of 33 I've created).
Lastly, I wanna say I appreciate anyone that takes the time to read this and play through this demo. I've noticed online, most indie game devs post really good looking images and gifs, with seemingly polished games. Unfortunately, my art skills aren't there yet. But I do focus on programming and system designs that can easily be scaled up once they are in place. So although it may not be the prettiest thing, I'm hoping you appreciate a playable demo within a 2 month time frame. To me, video games are about gameplay, everything else comes second. I feel this makes me a little different than most tackling this type of game.
